Doggie love!

First, I'm definitely going to try and vlog this for you guys to see, but here is the written version.

It started about a little more than 2 years ago when I took Gypsy for a walk. We met a Pomeranian. It's the one breed of dog that I really dislike! The are noisy, yippy and just unfriendly. Anyway, this is the one breed that Gypsy seems to ADORE. Of course it would be that way. We met Sunny and there was instant attraction! She fell in love. She remained loyal to him no matter who I introduced her to! A beagle, a Labrador, another cocker spaniel, nothing. She is fiercely loyal. It sucks.

Her interactions with Sunny are the funniest thing to watch. Usually dogs sniff each other's behind and when they are courting and the female is in heat, they definitely go for the behind. Not Gypsy.

Every time Sunny tries to sniff her behind, she turns away and never leaves it open. She is a good girl that way. She has a fascination for his ears though. She is very content to smell his ears and go crazy, wagging her tail and bouncing about. She would like him to sniff her ears, he apparently has other areas of interest. I've never seen dogs interact this way and it's the weirdest, cutest thing ever!

The one thing that I'm supremely not supportive of is the fact that when Gyp is in heat, she likes to look for him. At 4am!!!! It is dark outside, cold outside and downright scary on the dark, empty streets. But no. She doesn't care. She whines and whines and then barks if you ignore her! You must take her out! It's ridiculous! This lasts for about 3-4 days. I hate it, but I love her more, so I'm trotting about at 5am (because there is no way I'm stepping outside earlier than that!), in the cold and pretending to talk on my cell phone, keeping my eyes peeled for anything untoward. It borders insanity, but you do what you gotta do I guess.

So we walk for about 2 hours, till Sunny comes out so that she can do some ear sniffing and tail wagging and go home. You'd think that would be it. Oh no. About half an hour later, she'll want to go out again and again and again. This lasts form 4am to about 10am. You are bloody tired after this! She sleeps during the day, so she's up for this 6 hours worth of walking and she gets something out of it. I however, do not. I don't really want legs like Arnold Schwarzenegger, so I can live without this.

But yeah. I love my dog.

And thankfully, this is over now.

Unemployed, Maths and LA!

Ok people, it's been a while since I blogged, probably because I vlogged my last day at work and send off and then nothing of much interest is happening. I am now unemployed. I don't really miss waking up in the morning and rushing and dealing with the hours of traffic. I do miss getting out of the house though.

I am currently studying for my Masters. My exam is in December, so I have to learn general knowledge, maths, data interpretation (percentages and ratios) and brush up on my analytical abilities. Here's the fun part, I don't particularly excel in any of these fields, which is why I now spend my days doing maths, reading random facts and doing about a dozen IQ tests. Do you know with practice, you can increase your "IQ" on these tests? HA! I was a 145, now I'm a 156!! Soon, I'll be a freaking genius! Jeez. The stuff you get online! I truly do love the Internet.

While I study, learn my times tables and increase my "IQ", there are two things that are happening in my life. The most exciting thing is a trip I'm planning. A trip to LA!!! I'm going there for Christmas and New Year! I'm so excited about this! I'm going to be meeting Ella and Michaela there and the three of us are going to be up to no good! I'll eat fries and apple pie for breakfast at a diner in the mornings and maybe nap in the afternoon and go for a comedy show at the Laugh Factory in the evening! I dunno, these are the pretty castles I'm building in the air. I'm not so sure that diners serve fries at 8am. If they do, I will eat them for breakfast. It's something I've not done, but have wanted to do for a while now.

I'm also going to the Thrilling Adventure Hour in Jan, and I hope to catch Paget there. It would be lovely to see her again, since Ella, Michaela and I are friends because of her. That's how we all met!

If any of you reading this in LA and have suggestions of things for me to do or see, let me know! I'm up for anything that doesn't involve heights or roller coasters!

The next thing that is of importance in my life deserves a whole blog post of it's own. It just does. I'll write it soon. Just after I hit the publish button below this post!
